Dongyue Temple 3-27-08

There are many temples in Beijing, although not that many practicing Budhist people. There was no way I was going to visit them all, but I thought this one might be interesting since it was a Taoist temple where apparently they had lots of departments for all different "afterlife" fates. There are some interesting depictions of the afterlife scenary as you can see from the pictures.

Hay muchos templos en Pekin, a pesar de que realmente no hay mucha gente Budista practicante. Desde luego no me iba a poner a ver todos los templos de esta ciudad, pero este me parecio interesante porque es un templo Taoista donde se representan muchos departamentos de la via del mas alla, dependiendo de como uno se haya portado durante la vida carnal. Podeis ver en las fotos las esculputuras describiendo lo que os acabo de contar.
